Respite Care

Respite Care provides short-term care for individuals living with an intellectual or developmental disability who reside in the home with their parent or guardian.

Our highly trained, experienced respite care staff offer caregivers the opportunity to take a break from the stress of daily care giving. Respite takes place in the home of the individual requiring care, to help maintain a level of comfort and without disrupting the individual's normal daily routine. It can also take place as a community-based activity to encourage socialization and increase social life-skills. Parents and guardians interview and select their Respite Care provider to ensure the right fit.

Respite Care is available for both adults and children of all ages. Families can pay privately or bill through Favarh or another agency they are affiliated with. Respite Care providers are at least 21 years of age and agree to a background check and drug test.
